VALLEY FORGE is a fiddle tune we learned from Ramona Jones, who learned it from Jimmy Driftwood of Timbo, Ark. GREY EAGLE is a favorite contest piece in Missouri, and Taylor has won many a first place playing this tune. The third part, which Taylor omits for contests, is one he says he learned from Texas Shorty. Taylor has been a friend and a teacher for many young musicians in central Missouri. |
