Living on the River
The duo’s tenth recording was produced in Central Missouri and features 72 minutes of songs and tunes new and old, and guest appearances by several fine musicians in the area.
River songs have been a musical theme we have favored for years, at least since Cathy’s first album, “Movin’ On Down the River,” released by Biscuit City Records in 1979. We have led numerous song workshops on this theme over the years. The most notable were “blue water songs” sessions 20th annual Sea Music Festival in Mystic Seaport, Conn. There are probably enough river songs on our previous albums to make a thematic compilation from them, but Cathy counted up at least a couple dozen more selections in or soon to be added to our repertoire.
